Based on information shared by employees of the Federal Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Directorate in the Tambov Region, the brucellosis virus in a cow herd was in earnest in the village of Surava.

It should be recalled that brucellosis is an infectious disease that causes both an allergic reaction in animals and humans, and the development of various pathological lesions. In particular, the musculoskeletal system, organs of the cardiovascular system, as well as the nervous and genitourinary system, suffer.

It was possible to identify brucellosis in the stalls of the Tambov region thanks to the examinations that the veterinary service carried out in the laboratory.

At the moment, on the territory of the enterprise where the outbreak of a dangerous viral disease was registered, measures are being taken to prevent the spread of infection, as well as liquidation measures.

It is important to note that a person should be as careful as possible in behavior with infected animals. Since contact with a brucellosis victim can result in a dangerous infection.

It is also important to abandon the use of raw milk obtained from cows with brucellosis and from products from it, as well as to prevent the appearance of affected animals in their diet, which was subjected to insufficient heat treatment during cooking or frying.
