The State Food and Beverage Service of the country is currently working on the issue of simplifying the registration of Ukrainian apiaries, said Vladimir Lapa, head of the department.
Ideally, you should strive to ensure that the beekeeper can submit only one application to receive all the necessary documents and make it to the registry. The issuance of a passport and all documents attached to it should take place automatically, said Vladimir Lapa.
Beekeepers tend to refrain from registering apiaries for fear of losing utility bills. At the same time, Vladimir Lapa noted that the State Food and Beverage Service does not transmit data on the registration of the apiary to the social protection authorities and the tax inspectorate.
Vladimir Lapa calls the introduction of apiaries in the register into the legal field in order to protect the rights of beekeepers. Earlier it was reported that Ukrainian beekeepers plan to protest under the walls of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine due to the death of bees from agricultural chemistry.
Beekeepers will demand the introduction into the departments of agro-industrial development of areas of a specialist who would deal only with beekeepers. According to the Union of Beekeepers of Ukraine, in 2018, 20-40 thousand bee families died. However, many beekeepers cannot claim compensation due to the fact that their apiaries and bee colonies do not have official registration.
