Agricultural producers of the Russian Federation intend to fix another record indicator for oilseed crop volumes this season.

In particular, according to preliminary forecasts of industry analysts, farmers intend to collect over nineteen million nine hundred thousand tons of oilseeds.

The share of sunflower in the total volume is, based on forecasts, at least thirteen million one hundred thousand tons. A soybean crop of four million three hundred thousand tons is also predicted. The difference is rapeseed.

According to experts of the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation, the increase in oilseeds is due to the fact that this year the total area of ​​areas for growing sunflower and rapeseed has significantly increased.

As a result, sunflowers in Russian open spaces occupied eight and a half million hectares. This indicator exceeds four hundred thousand hectares of last year’s area of ​​fields with sunflowers.

Fields with soybeans increased in 2019 by one and a half million hectares and amounted to three million hectares. In addition, the unusually high rapeseed yield on domestic fields contributed to the formation of record indicators.
