On the territory of the North Caucasus Federal District, cattle breeders and poultry farmers in the Stavropol Territory can be confidently called the leaders of meat and egg production.
Based on information shared with the public by representatives of the Federal State Statistics Service in the North-Caucasian Federal District, between January 1 and July 1 of this year, producers in this region launched seven and a half percent more meat products, as well as livestock and poultry in live weight than in the previous reporting period.
The increase in production rates was due to the fact that in the Stavropol Territory the meat processing industry is moving forward with leaps and bounds, and cattle farmers, poultry farmers and butchers in the region justify the investments that the state invests in their activities.
It will not be superfluous to note that over the first half of this year, various regions of the North Caucasus Federal District produced over four hundred forty-six thousand eight hundred tons of meat. The share of Stavropol producers in this volume is two hundred seventy three thousand six hundred tons.
As for cattle farmers and poultry farmers of the Republic of Dagestan, in this case we are talking about the production of sixty six and a half thousand tons of meat of cattle and poultry made in the first six months of 2019.
If we talk about the indicators of Kabardino-Balkaria, then such figures as forty-seven and a half thousand tons are relevant here. Producers of Karachay-Cherkessia launched twenty two thousand seven hundred tons of meat on the market from January to June (inclusive) of the current year.
It is noteworthy that in the first half of 2019, poultry farmers of the North Caucasus produced about eight hundred million pieces of chicken eggs. The share of Stavropol poultry houses in the total volume is four hundred fifty eight million units.
