Over the past two years, the number of farms in Ukraine has increased by 14 thousand.
This was announced by the head of the GS "Agrarian Union of Ukraine" (ACS) Gennady Novikov. According to him, this figure does not mean at all that such a number of business entities were created over these two years.
Most of them existed, but worked in the shade and were not taken into account by the official statistics of the country. Thus, state support for agriculture contributed to the detailedization of the Ukrainian economy.
“A lot of farms came out of the shadows during the two years of the state support program for the agricultural sector, because in order to receive state subsidies, it is necessary to work in a white light,” Gennady Novikov explained.
As you know, for 2020, subsidized funds are provided only in the direction of compensation of interest on loans for land acquisition. Other areas of state support will be inactive, which could lead to the reverse process, said the chairman of the Agrarian Union of Ukraine Gennady Novikov.
It is possible that part of Ukrainian farms will again go into the shadows and official statistics will show a decrease in their number.
