A unique agricultural phenomenon appeared in the vastness of the Netherlands - local cows switched to a floating grazing regime.
It is reported that water stalls exceed nine hundred square meters in size and allow thirty-two cows to feel comfortable.
According to the developers of unique designs of the Dutch farm, as well as according to the company's employees, the creation of such an object was due to several factors at once.
In particular, nature itself forces the construction of floating farms, since in the Netherlands almost half of the agricultural land is located below sea level. As a result, farms are often flooded with water.
“Not so long ago, we had to literally recapture our lands from the water, we created dams, dams and more,” the herders and farmers of the country admit. “But now, fortunately, a solution has emerged - at least for livestock farms.”
Today, owners of Dutch cows are developing new “territories” and creating unique agricultural landscapes for both locals and tourists eager for impressions.
It will not be superfluous to note that on floating farms, drinking water is supplied to the cows through a desalination system, and electricity is generated by solar panels to provide facilities.
Milking devices and automatic brushes for cleaning livestock work from them. Such information was shared by Peter Van Wingerden, who designed amazing farms.
