From September 2019, in the village of Privolie in the Luhansk region, the first agricultural mini-mill for closed-loop milk processing will be launched in the agricultural enterprise Privolie in the ChSP. Work on the restoration of the workshop began back in 2016, and now the final preparatory work is continuing at the enterprise.
The goal of this project is the production and sale of dairy products under its own brand according to European standards. This was told by the director of the Agrofirm Privolje Dmitry Odenchuk. Production will fully comply with HACCP requirements.
The amount of investments in the reconstruction of the premises and the purchase of equipment of Israeli and Ukrainian production amounted to about 20 million UAH. Approximately 3 million of this amount were compensated to the au pair from the state budget as part of the Government's Agricultural Support Program.
“We will have closed-loop production: from milk production at our own farm to the production of kefir, fermented baked milk, yoghurts, soft cheeses and other dairy products. It’s important for us to teach Ukrainians to consume a high-quality and really healthy dairy product, ”says Dmitry Odenchuk.
The farmer notes that in fact animal husbandry and processing of its products is an unprofitable direction of agricultural production. However, he invests in this in order to preserve the health of fellow citizens and jobs in his native Volga.
Nowadays, there are two dairy farms in the Agrofirma Privol'ye ChSP, where about 350 heads of a milking herd of black-motley and red-motley holsteinized cows are kept. However, for a number of reasons, the farm is soon forced to lose one farm for 250 head of cattle.
There are also more than 80 heads of French Charolais beef cattle in the farm. In addition to the unique dairy plant, Privol Agrofirm also has a small closed-loop meat processing plant, which was created with the support of USAID.
