The Indian Foreign Minister said that 1.5 million farmers will be provided with funds for installing connected solar-powered pumps.
New Delhi News reports that Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the expansion of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urji Suraksha Uttan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) scheme, which will provide funds to needy households to install stand-alone solar pumps. This program is presented in the budget for 2020-2021, the minister said.
Clear weather is not necessary for the operation of the solar panel; energy production also occurs under cloudy conditions. But the most important thing is the battery, which will allow you to accumulate electricity generated on cloudless days and spend it in gloomy and bad weather
Nirmala Sitharaman added that this scheme will help to eliminate the dependence of farmers on diesel fuel, kerosene using solar energy. It will also help farms to establish the production capacity of an alternative type of energy and sell it to the general electric grid.
The PM KUSUM scheme consists of three components - 10,000 megawatts (MW) of electricity:
- Component A - These are decentralized land renewable power plants connected to the grid.
- Component-B - Installation of autonomous solar-powered agricultural pumps.
- Component-C - This is the solarization of 10 thousandths connected to a network of solar pumps for agriculture.
Now farmers will be able to earn livelihoods on their own land.
- Glanbia Ireland, the Irish global nutrition group, announced on July 8 that it is launching FarmGen, a renewable energy initiative for farmers and the farming community.
- For 4 years in Ukraine you can buy real European delicacies of local production - dried tomatoes, where manufacturers plan to use solar energy to optimize the production process.
