The International Trade Center project, in collaboration with industry associations, has developed a Roadmap for the development of berry growing.
The strategic document, which reflects the prospective development of the industry, was discussed yesterday at the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy said.
During the discussion of the Roadmap, attention was drawn to the issue of increasing the consumption of berries by children in school and preschool institutions. The plans of the Ministry include fixing this item at the national level.The roadmap for the development of berry growing includes: - strengthening the export position of berry products, - the Government's strategic approach to supporting the development of the industry.
Specialists of the Ministry expect that the card will help small Ukrainian producers of berries to develop their enterprises and increase competitiveness.
Tools for this should be:- implementation of all sanitary and phytosanitary measures, as well as technical standards;
- certification;
- infrastructure improvement;
- raising the level of knowledge among manufacturers about modern technologies.
Working groups will be created for each of the directions of the roadmap, to which all interested parties can join.
