The number of Ukrainian producers of greens today is very small, since the goods are delicate and perishable. It is also hindered by the development of this area of corruption, as well as intrigue and conspiracy, says the owner of TM Salatik Life Lyudmila Yariz.
According to her, the business only looks simple and highly profitable. In fact, greengrocers face daily challenges.
Greens in Ukraine are almost not grown on an industrial scale. The only exception is the project from ATB. According to insider information, 15 hectares were allocated for the cultivation of green crops near the Dnieper.
According to Lyudmila Yariz, Ukrainian agricultural producers of greens are far behind Europe and Russia both in terms of design, assortment and service, and in the amount of supply and consumption per capita.
The expert hopes that Ukrainian entrepreneurs will realize that they have no significant competition. There is only a bad and poor quality offer. And there are also intrigues and conspiracies that only impede the development of this niche.
Lyudmila Yariz states that the time has come to speak openly about the corruption of the segment. A niche requires development and it has great prospects with the right approach, including at the level of legislation.
