In addition to success in the sowing campaign of sugar beets, the company boasts the completion of sowing spring crops, as reported on its website. So, corn is sown on 83% of the area from the forecast, while in the whole country 6% of the forecast is sown.

For 20 days, the farmers planted sugar beets in 36 thousand hectares. The sowing campaign was completed before the onset of rainfall, which is favorable for the good development of seedlings. The first seedlings of sugar beets have already been obtained on most of the sown areas of the company.Currently, Astarta farm cultivates sown fields with herbicides. At the same time, the sowing of crops such as soybean, sunflower and corn is nearing completion. All possible dates for sowing sugar beets are ending, and we can say that its sown area will be no more than 200 thousand ha. By the way, in 2018, farmers allocated 283 thousand hectares for sugar beets. Due to the reduction in the sown area under this crop, we can expect an increase in sugar prices this season.
