In order to buy a piglet, a brood of chickens or a flock of sheep, soon you will not need to go to a zoo farm or market. To simplify the task of buying cattle and meat, an innovative project called “Digital Farmer” will help.

Among other things, the developers of Digital Farmer say that the application’s functionality will allow not only to choose a suitable calf or guinea fowl, but also to monitor in real time how and what the animal is fed, in what conditions it is kept before purchase.

The development of a unique project was established by the employees of the Gastroperm "Popov Lug", and they supported the idea of ​​the authorities of the Pereslavl region of the Yaroslavl region. The developers shared their first achievements at the Golden Autumn exhibition-fair, which was held in Moscow. One of the first to note the uniqueness of the Digital Farmer was the head of the Government of the Russian Federation: Dmitry Medvedev was shown the capabilities of the application and described further prospects for working on it.

The main feature of the “Digital Farm” is that it allows the buyer not only to choose an animal and buy it, but also to further control its fattening and content features through a special application in the smartphone. In addition, the Digital Farmer, based on the principle of social networks, will allow farmers to communicate with each other and notify other users about the sale of an animal. Also, owners of pigs, cows and sheep will be able to receive in the application an order for slaughtering cattle and the further sale of meat products.

The digital project is currently in the so-called pilot phase.
