The Baryshev Grain Company (Grain Allians) is reconstructing the livestock building at its dairy farm in the Poltava region. In the near future, a modern milk pipeline will be installed, since the main task is to obtain the highest quality milk, as reported by the company.
“Double milk filtration has been introduced at the farm,” said farm manager Natalya Kukoba. The average daily level of milk production on the farm is 21 kg of milk per cow.
Last year, a livestock farm was reconstructed on a farm where calves are kept from birth to four months. “There are already 110 calves in the new building. This is the current replenishment, ”said Natalya Kukoba.
According to her, now the average daily weight gain of dairy calves is 700-800 g. For information, the farm contains 670 heads of cattle. The Ukrainian black-motley breed of dairy cows prevails. At the same time, Holsteinization is introduced.
