In the Transcarpathian region, harvesting of early crops started. Local farmers plan to get up to 9 t / ha of wheat.
Harvesting early crops in Vinogradovsky district is in full swing. Now 40 cars are working in the fields of the district.
This year, the harvest began earlier than in 2018, says the farmer Mikhail Agiy, who has been growing grain for more than 30 years. The landowner characterizes this season as very difficult. There was a big drought in the spring.
The grain did not have time to pour and was baked in an ear. Only after this the rains began, as a result of which all crops were under water. To harvest the crop with the least losses, farm owners carried out continuous field cultivation, says Svetlana Andrashko, who grows crops on 30 hectares.
According to Svetlana, the weather most badly damaged wheat. Barley was practically unaffected, and wheat began to hurt after heavy rains. Despite everything, the grape farmers intend to thresh 9 tons of wheat, 15 tons of corn, 6 tons of barley from 1 ha.
Most of the district’s winter wheat crops are owned by private enterprises. All farms that are currently engaged in harvesting are fully equipped with equipment, including both old-style combines and the latest machines.
