Farms in the Republic of Buryatia are not experiencing the easiest period - based on statistical data, in the beginning of spring 2019, the number of cattle individuals decreased significantly.

And if today the number of cattle in Buryat farms does not exceed 341.7 thousand individuals, then a year ago the figure was 0.8% higher. It is noteworthy that "reductions" are noted not only in the ranks of large and horned, but also among pigs, as well as in the livestock of poultry in Buryatia.

For example, today in the republican farms you can count only 147.3 thousand cows, although a year ago, in the middle of spring 2018, they were 0.8% more. As for pigs, today the number of Buryat pigs does not exceed 121.7% of thousands of individuals, despite the fact that in the same period last year they were 1.3% more.

If we talk about birds, then poultry per year has decreased by 5% - today at Buryat poultry farms there is a maximum of 403.6 thousand individuals of various breeds. But the number of goats and sheep has increased markedly (by 0.9%), and today in the stalls of Buryat farmers there are a little more than 284 thousand individuals.

It will not be superfluous to note that in the region the rates of slaughter of farm animals and birds are actively increasing (almost 12% per year).

If we talk about the volume of production of Buryat milk, then, alas, the situation is not encouraging - for the year, local cows began to produce 16.7% less milk, and the rate of egg production decreased by almost 8%.
