The structure of sown areas for the crop in 2019. It is planned to increase the sown area of ​​corn by 5%, soybeans - by 16%, the APR Department in the Vinnitsa region said during a meeting on preparations for the spring field work.

It is predicted that out of 1.63 million ha, 53% of all land will be occupied by grain crops, 31% will be used for growing industrial crops, and about 8% will be vegetables and fodder crops.

40.7% of cereals are winter crops. Their condition today is rated as good. 80% of crops have already passed the fertilizer process.

The main crop in the fields of the Vinnitsa region remains corn. Sown area under it will increase by 5.1% and will amount to 400.8 thousand ha in all categories of farms. Soybean sown area will increase by 16%, says Nikolai Tkachuk, director of the APR Department of the Vinnitsa Regional State Administration.

Sugar beets will not be left aside. Since the decrease in profitability from its cultivation can be considered a temporary phenomenon, crops of this crop should be planned in production programs. Vinnytsia region is a leader in the sugar industry and I would like to maintain these positions, concluded Nikolai Tkachuk.
