A significant increase in sown areas is planned this spring in the Vinnitsa region. soybeans were cultivated on an area of 114 ha.
The increase in the area under soybean will occur due to the reduction of crops of sunflower and sugar beets. The balance of sown areas will be provided with the help of soybeans, which is explained by the growing demand for this crop and its profitability.
In addition, soybeans are the best precursor for corn, whose cultivated areas in the region are planning to significantly increase, says Valentina Kirilyuk, deputy head of the regional department of agro-industrial development, ecology and natural resources.Sowing of corn and soybeans will be carried out later, and in the meantime, Vinnytsia agrarians began to sow beets and sunflowers. The sowing campaign of early spring cereals - wheat, oats, barley and peas - is ending.
Already sowed about 85% of the planned area. The little snow and rain that fell last week did not allow the equipment to enter the fields, but also moistened the soil, which is important for good germination of cereals.Share
