According to EastFruit analysts, it is becoming more and more difficult to find beets of good commercial quality in Ukraine every day. Buying a large batch of root crops is also not easy.

In these conditions, buyers do not stop actively searching for a product in demand, and large trading companies and supermarket chains complain about its scarcity. In this situation, beet prices are predictable. To date, its manufacturers are voicing the price of 7-8 UAH / kg, which is $ 0.26-0.29 / kg. Compared to the end of the last working week, beetroot has risen in price by 27%.

Experts see the reason for the great demand for root crops in the strengthening of the procurement activities of large companies and retail chains, as well as the end of the sale of products from home storage facilities.Even despite the rise in price, beets currently cost 16% less than in the last days of March 2018. Market operators predict a possible increase in product prices due to depletion of its stocks in vegetable storages.

Earlier it was reported that the price of beets in January of this year was at the level of 9-10 UAH / kg. In February, its value began to decline slightly due to the entry into the market of small quantities of vegetables from household plots of the population. As of February 25, the price of beets was from 4 to 9.5 UAH / kg.
