The second month of this year did not meet the expectations of butter producers.

Foreign market traders do not plan to raise prices for butter produced in Ukraine. And for Africa there are more attractive offers from other exporters, such as India. The prices for butter on the world market are now very different: from $ 3800 / t to $ 4200 / t.

The spread in prices on the domestic market of Ukraine is also quite large. Peasant oil today is offered at 112-117 thousand UAH / t, and a product with 82% fat content at 127-137 thousand UAH / t. Experts predict that in March Ukrainian-made butter is unlikely to become more expensive. But there are no objective reasons for the decline in product prices either.

In January of this year, Ukrainian enterprises produced 6.1 thousand tons of oil, which is 8% less than in the same period in 2018. In February, oil production declined even more. Such a modest pace of production will keep prices from falling. On the other hand, many market operators own large reserves of old oil, which also cannot but affect its value.
