Producers of skimmed milk powder (СОМ) of Ukraine no longer sell their goods below $ 1900 / t. Factories engaged in the production of whole milk powder (SCM) also do not complain about the low cost of their product.

A large number of dryers have moved from the production of COM to a more profitable SCM. The market of dried whole milk is gradually growing due to constantly increasing interest from non-CIS countries.

Traders so far are cautiously giving money for Ukrainian goods, explaining this by the long absence of milk from Ukraine in the world markets. But even under such conditions, $ 2750-2850 / t is paid for it.

Given current prices, this is a better option than oil + COM. Inside Ukraine, on the eve of Easter, the demand for milk powder also increased slightly.

The production of dried whole milk in Ukraine has an advantage over the production of skimmed milk powder, which has been observed for a long time. So, for the I quarter of this year, 3.6 thousand tons of SCM were produced (+ 11% compared to the 1st quarter of 2018), fat-free - 5.3 thousand tons (-7%).

Industry experts in Ukraine predict that the supply of skimmed milk powder will not increase in May if the price of oil does not stabilize.
